Effective July 1, 2011, it has become MANDATORY that all CanSkate and adult CanSkate participants up to and including Stage 5 MUST wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet while on the ice.  The PDSC and their coaching staff will be enforcing this policy with no exceptions.  This is a MINIMUM mandated standard from Skate Canada.  We appreciate your understanding and support.

Skate Care & Maintenance

Don't forget to get your skates sharpened prior to the first day of skating and several times throughout the season.

Never walk on the cement without your skate guards on, and make sure to wipe your blades off with a cloth after coming off the ice.

There are several places to get skates sharpened in the area.  Please check with your coach if you are unsure of proper edgings.

 Suggested sharpeners:

Greg Knight (Glencoe) - (519) 287-5092
